How To Join
To be eligible to join East Kilbride Credit Union, you need to either live or work within East Kilbride or Strathaven and should be aged 16 or over. (Under 16s can open a junior account)
Once you have joined, you can deposit into your account in a variety of ways including cash, cheque, standing order, payroll deduction for employees of South Lanarkshire Council, PayPoint and debit card payments. Deposits can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or four weekly depending on your preference.

To open an account we will require:
An annual membership fee of £2.50 is deducted from members’ accounts on the 30th September each year unless you have already paid a joining fee in the previous 12 months.
At the end of each financial year, once the business costs have been assessed, the auditor will recommend to the Board of Directors the amount of surplus available as dividend. This is then agreed by the members at the Annual General Meeting.
Each member of East Kilbride Credit Union receives free life insurance and loan protection on their account, although terms and conditions may apply. Please see our LPLS page for more information.
